Supporting a Future Generation
In 1992 Rabbi Dr. Douglas Goldhamer and a group of Chicago business leaders (Alan Crane, Joan & Stan Golder, and Howard Roseblum) established the first seminary to train deaf and hearing women and men to become rabbis and teachers serving not only hearing people, but specifically trained to serve the numerous Jewish deaf communities all over the United States.
We hope you will join a distinguished group of people who support this Seminary in the training of tomorrow's rabbis and teachers for the deaf and hearing. Your caring gift will help provide these spiritual leaders and teachers to communities across the country.
To provide this program takes funding. Tuition for a full year is $15,000.00 per student. Because of the intense nature of the program, it is difficult for students to work. We do not want to turn away deserving, qualified applicants because of a lack of funds. That is why we need your help. Every Jewish deaf person should be able to know about their heritage and to learn about Judaism. Help make that possible.
